Talia and Mark are the sweetest newlyweds who invited me into their beautiful home in Nanaimo BC for a cozy in home lifestyle session. In home sessions are so fun, especially when they are in a special place like your first home as husband and wife. I love the relaxed and easy feel of spending time in your own environment with the ones you love. Also an awesome option when its pouring rain during our west coast winters ;)
This sweet couple happen to be my sister and brother in law, and they kind of have the cutest love story. Talia had been living back in Vancouver after leaving Fort McMurray due to the devastating forest fires. She was there only a few short months before reconnecting with her friend Mark. Talia and Mark had known each other years ago when she had (according to a disappointed Mark) "friend zoned" him. This time he wasn't going to let her get away with it and pursued her in no uncertain terms. They went on their first official date and when she brought him home to meet the family we knew things were serious! They got married this past August and Mark became an official Islander when they moved into their new home just days after their wedding! Their new home is so beautiful and I had so much fun shooting with them this past rainy weekend. They're the kindest humans you'll ever meet, with infectious smiles and such easy chemistry.
